Luciano’s Restaurant

Luciano Mottola was born in Italy and grew up in Viareggio with his 6 brothers and sisters.  After meeting the love of his life, he made the decision to follow her back to the USA in 2003. While traveling to places in Colorado, Montana, Kansas & California, Luciano selected Mulvane as his place to begin again. The wheat fields and sunflowers reminded him of his home in Tuscany - a place where value is based on quality instead of quantity and simple beauty and elegance are a part of everyday life.

Peck– History

In 1887, the Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railway built a branch line north-south from Herington through Peck to Clearwater. It was foreclosed upon in 1891 and was taken over by Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway, which shut down in 1980. It was reorganized as the Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas Railroad, merged in 1988 with Missouri Pacific Railroad, and merged in 1997 with Union Pacific Railroad. Most locals still refer to this railroad as the “Rock Island.”
